Large hotel with beautiful views of the city or the marina; close to public transportation (bus 51B) just a short walk from the hotel. The parking is very expensive but public transportation was very clean and timely.

While the hotel was clean and comfortable, I find the high price for parking, and the outrageous prices for any snacks, let alone food, to be very off putting-- a kind of captive market privateering and profit taking that is grotesque and obvious.

We usually stay here when in town for business. It is away from the city hustle with beautiful views of the bay and Bay Bridge. The only draw back is the price for parking, $42 is a bit extreme. They do have offsite parking, but I would never park there do to crime. Overall good if you don't mind paying the extra for parking. Hotels.com usually has discounted parking fee so check it out .

Iconic Hotel in a Beautiful Location
This is a big rambling, mid century hotel. It’s in a beautiful location at the Berkeley Marina. It’s kept up pretty well, some signs of wear and tear, but that’s to be expected. We enjoyed our stay, the room was large and comfortable. The restaurant is very good. If you want to be in Berkeley near the waterfront, this is the place to be.

Excellent location for a vacation stay. Restaurant on site, parking ($42) and near the freeway. Close to great downtown shopping in Berkeley and Emeryville. A nice break away from the city surrounded by water and great views.

Great location
Beautiful location in the Marina about 25 min drive from Downtown. Very nice restaurant, decent pool and exercise equipment room. Only downside is parking is costly at $40 per night.
